Welcome everyone, and thanks for stopping by. Now I know we all hate to have to go through rules. I mean, we can all act grown up yes? Well, most of us yes. Really this is for that .1% out there that has to go messing things up. So here's everything in black and white. There's some flex in these here guidelines, but let's not bother trying to find out how much okay?
FLAMING
This is the practice of posting abusive and/or derogatory things about a person. Do not do this. This includes, trolling, flame baiting, and a host of other things. Depending on the number of times this has happened and the severity of each case this can result in anything from a warning to banning for a period of time.
RANTING
Had a bad day? Had an idiot taking your order? We feel for ya. However, we don't need you to describe it in verbose and profane detail. If you wanna post about your bad day feel free, but don't get carried away. After your fifth curse word, in a row, in the same sentence, perhaps you should take some time to cool off and come back later. Not that we don't wanna help you, but giant posts that are nothing but you venting your feelings in abusive curse words does no one any good. This will most likely just get you a warning unless you do it incessantly, then you'll be might be looking at the ban hammer.
RESPECT.
Find out what it means to me. R E S P E C T, sock it to me, sock it to me. AHEM. Yes, well besides being a rather catchy song, respect is a nice thing to both give and receive. This one is simple. You don't have to agree with someone else, but you DO have to respect them. Whether they have a different religion, culture, sexual orientation, whatever, be nice. To each other. It's not that hard. We did this stuff in kindergarten remember? Offenses can range from warning to banhammer time.
*Special note here: You are on a FURRY site. You don't have to like furries, however we don't want to hear over and over and over about how stupid/messed up/etc furs are. If you don't like furries that much, then don't be on a furry site. Repeated posts in the vein will result in Thor the BanHammer.
LANGUAGE.
Everyone should strive to express themselves without always resorting to curse words. Now this is not to say that you can't ever curse, but lets keep things under control. One f-word is most likely as effective as several. Once again the severity and number of offenses will be taken into account and could lead to warnings or banning.
ADULT CONTENT.
Can't be on here. Sorry. Look I'm usually all for the adult content, however, Keshy has a little something called "Terms of Use" which preclude adult content on here. This is one area where we can't be lenient. If it's something you couldn't take out in public you most likely can't post it here. Hate to be mean but if you do you're going to suffer at least a temp ban. Can't have the stuff or else the plug might get pulled on us.
FORUM ETIQUETTE.
Basically, just be polite and use some common sense. If you see a thread you'd like to post in but it's months old, make a new thread linking to the old. Try to avoid double posting, use the edit button instead. Also, caps lock is NOT NOT NOT cruise control for cool. If you post something in all caps, it will be edited to take the caps off and you'll get warned. Another biggie is to READ ALL THE POSTS in a thread before you post something, this avoids much confusion. Most of the things you'd violate here are just going to get you a warning and a polite request to watch your P's and Q's.
BAN EVADING.
Look if you got a ban, it's not the end of the world. We all have bad days. If you don't think it was correct, then appeal it to a same level or higher mod than the one that gave it to you. When you do, be polite about it. Explain your side of the story and why you feel the ban unjust. If you don't get your appeal though, sit your ban out. Attempts to get around it will just increase the length till eventually it's permanent.
THINGS NOT COVERED BY THESE GUIDELINES.
We're all aiming for a smooth running, fun to be at, forum. As such, we can't have people doing things that disrupt the boards. Just because something is not on here doesn't mean it's okay to do. Mods reserve the right to stop things that are specifically covered but are still disruptive. The staff will strive to work together as much as possible to decide what is disruptive to the community as a whole. Basically, don't be a nuisance and you'll be fine.
